Delivery and getting the gear to you

Getting your camping gear delivered is a bit like planning the perfect expedition – most of the time everything goes smoothly, but occasionally Mother Nature (or in this case, the postal system) has other plans! We work with trusted partners to get your gear to you as quickly as possible, but sometimes the gear has an adventure all on it’s own before it even gets to you. Follow the below info if this ever happens to you!

Standard Delivery Times

Most items will reach you within 2-3 weeks – that’s typically plenty of time to plan your next adventure, break in those new boots, and practice setting up that tent in your backyard (the neighbors love a good tent-pitching show!).

The Reality Check (We’re Keeping It Real)

Some items may take up to 4 weeks depending on a few factors that are about as predictable as weather forecasts:

  • Supplier availability – Sometimes our manufacturer partners are busier than a one-person tent setup in a thunderstorm
  • Shipping logistics – International freight moves at its own pace (think tortoise, not hare)
  • Seasonal demand – Everyone wants camping gear at the same time, apparently!
  • Customs clearance – Border security takes their time, and we respect that
  • Weather delays – Because even delivery trucks need to pull over in a storm
  • Public holidays – Even postal workers deserve a break from hauling our heavy camping gear around!

Post Office Boxes

We can deliver to PO Boxes for smaller items, but some of our larger gear (looking at you, family-sized tents!) might need a physical address with someone home to sign for them.

Step 1: Order Confirmation

Once you place your order, we’ll send you a confirmation email faster than you can say “where did I put the tent pegs?” This includes your order number and estimated delivery timeframe.

Step 2: Shipping Notification

When your gear begins its journey to you, we’ll send tracking information so you can follow along. It’s like GPS for your camping equipment!

Step 3: Delivery Day

Our delivery partners will attempt to deliver to your address during business hours. If nobody’s home, they may leave a card with pickup instructions – because apparently camping gear doesn’t fit through mail slots (we’ve checked).

Delays Happen

Sometimes deliveries take longer than expected because:

  • Weather events (storms, floods, cyclones – Mother Nature doesn’t check our delivery schedule)
  • Supply chain hiccups (even our suppliers occasionally run out of stock)
  • Shipping disruptions (strikes, public holidays, global pandemics – you know, the usual!)
  • Customs delays for international shipments
  • High demand periods (Black Friday and pre-summer camping season can get crazy!)

Failed Deliveries

If delivery attempts fail:

  • Check the tracking – maybe it’s waiting at a pickup point
  • Contact the courier – they’ll arrange a redelivery
  • Give us a call – we’ll help sort out any delivery dramas

Damaged in Transit

Sometimes packages have rougher journeys than expected:

Don’t use damaged items (safety first, adventure second!)

Check items immediately upon delivery

Take photos of any damage

Contact us as soon as you can – we’ll sort out replacements or refunds quickly

Tracking Information

Once shipped, you’ll receive a Tracking number – your gear’s passport number

We’ll send email updates for:

  • Order confirmation and processing
  • Shipping dispatch with tracking details
  • Any delays or issues along the way
